2nd Annual Rockets Road Game Trip: OKC Bound

The Oklahoma City Thunder single game tickets finally went on sale today!  My Hero Daddy bought our game tickets for our 2nd Annual Rockets Road Game Trip for March.

You may remember our goal to see the Houston Rockets in a new city each year!  You may remember my first trip last year to San Antonio versus the Spurs.  Even though I (my house) was on TV, it wasn't as exciting for me.  Mommy's shirt usually got in the way of seeing the sights.

Wow, my house makes your head look small, Mommy.

The Thunder are Daddy's 2nd favorite team.  They are number 1 in the NBA ... more importantly, I am the Rocket's number 1 fan as you already know.

You can look back through all of my posts tagged with the Rockets!

Remember when I won Clutch's contest?  Wow, too bad I didn't win the ability to hold up my head and work out my chin!

So Mommy and I need to think more about preparing for the trip ... at least she already got me some Rockets surprises the other night at their shop ...

What else should I wear?  Pants optional?

But Train Wreck Mommy already started thinking about making sure I traveled in style ... What do you think about this (loved by celebs) Super Baby Suitcase by Beatrix NY?

My first question is .. will it fit my Scotch, NY Times, peanut butter, and pampies?  Really, that is all I need.

When is your next trip?  Where are you headed to?  How do you travel in style?

Weekend Update: My First Run And More

Hello Fans ... We've been the Train Wreck Family lately!  Mommy has been under the weather (of course!  She is back at school!) ... I had a nasty fever this week (turns out, a viral infection), and now My Hero "I don't get sick" Daddy is fighting a cold.

With that said ... Mommy and I are still working on my remaining 1st Birthday posts - stay tuned!  It's taking a while because of the amount of photos (and Mommy is slow).

In the meantime, it was quicker for me to put together the Weekend Update posts.  My first Houston Rockets Fun Run!  Okay, okay, Mommy and I did the walk with "Auntie" Alicen (and Daddy did the 5k), but still, I think it counts.  I beat Mommy!

Here we are before we left for the Rockets Run.  Wow, maybe next time I won't wear my PJ pants.  I'm wearing my Clutch Bear beads that I won last year from Clutch.  Mommy, open your eyes!

Here I am with Dada right before the run.

Auntie Alicen, me, and Train Wreck Mommy.

Daddy and his friends.

Deep thoughts by Clutch Bear's biggest fan!

And it begins!

Here I am surrounded by my girlfriends... aka the Rockets Power Dancers.  Am I already leaning towards blondes?  Maybe.  Maybe not.

Train Wreck Mommy and I made it to the court!  (As did Alicen ... she is taking our photo).

What did I do after my F1RST big race?  This!  The rest of my weekend is pretty much a blur ... hung out at home, some errands here and there ... and I went on a long walk to the Heights on Sunday.

The Train Wrecks and I also did our weekly Sunday Whole Foods trip.  I picked up some peanut butter (my latest fav), and I wore my Owl(ie) hat from "Auntie" Alicen.  Daddy said I look like a girl, but either way ... do you know how many women stopped to gawk at me!  A few more than usual!

I wore it to SongPlay music class too.

OH ... in all the race hoopla, I almost forgot to mention ...

I stood up for the F1RST time without holding on to anything (and I clapped for myself).  Train Wreck Mommy was a little too slow in catching a pic or video *yet*.

How was your weekend?  Any big milestones?

Happy 1/2 Birthday To Me! (Post 1)

Yesterday was my 6 month birthday.  I'm obviously recovering today.  Train Wreck Mommy loves to take 1,000 photos of me on my Bday!  This post shares a few that I thought you would enjoy.  This isn't even the 1/2 of it!  And I have much to share with you about my birthday in posts to come including my 6 month doctor appointment and Art Day with Mommy and more.

Oh boy, I just wanted to kick my legs like crazy and move around like a "crazy person" as Mommy would say ... but she just wanted to take photos.  Here I am posing in my Houston Rockets outfit from my Daddy.

I like to roll my tongue.  Mommy says, "Maxxxx, how do you do that?"

Like this Mommy.  Look at me!  One asian eye, one white eye.

Serious face.  Wow check out my Big Boy fingers.  What is up with that?  Time for some piano playing!

Mommy, I don't think I fit this way anymore.

RAMONA EYES.

Yay, why does my head look so big and my body so small?

Much more to come about my 1/2 Birthday.  Stay tuned!  Do you celebrate your 1/2 birthday?  How are you celebrating (or did celebrate) your birthday this year?  Max loves to hear from you.

Keep Mad Max Weird: Austin (Post 2)

Mad Max is back from the 4th of July Weekend.  How was your holiday?  Back to my Austin posting ...

If you missed my first Austin post be sure to read it here:

Can you say, Super City Baby?  I'm waiting on Train Wreck Mommy and my Hero Daddy to pay the parking meter.

The Train Wrecks took me to the Austin Children's Museum.  That's my "excited new toy face."  Mad Max gives the Austin Children's Museum two thumbs up.  Daddy gives it two thumbs up and a monkey toe up because we showed up at 4:30 pm (they close at 5 pm), and we got in free.  Wow.

Here we are at Kerbey Lane for the 1,000th time.  Maybe we should get our own table!  We Heart KL.

Mad Max's F1RST post-womb college tour below: University of Texas at Austin.  Daddy said we are visiting a college for each of our Rockets Road Game Trips (and more)!  Whatever It Takes.

There we are above in 1,000 degree heat at the UT campus.  But Mommy treated us to some treats at the UT Bookstore.  I got a UT onesie, and a UT football.  Thanks, Mommy!

What happens after spending most of the morning in the heat in Austin?  See above!  Nap time at the Four Seasons Austin.

Looking out our window at our city view (Downtown Austin).

What do vegan (or veggie) hipster babies do in Austin?  Why we hang out in our shades with our favorite giraffes at Shady Grove of course.

Sunset while waiting for the Congress Avenue Bats (which by the way, we could visit right behind our hotel!)... how were the bats?  Well, Mommy made me go into giggle fits every time she yelled BATS! ... I was so exhausted, we didn't make it.  Next time, I say ... batty bat ... !

And I will leave you with me swimming with Mommy on our last morning in Austin.  See you soon, Austin!

What summer vacations are you taking this year (or did you take this year)?

#1 Super Infant Rockets Fan

Tonight (my Hero!) Daddy and (Train Wreck!) Mommy took me to my first Houston Rockets game (out of my house aka "womb.")  But ... it was actually extra special because it was Clutch the Rockets Bear's Happy Birthday Celebration Game (Happy 16th Birthday!).

Train Wreck Mommy loves Clutch Bear.  Ahem.  I'm the kid now, Mommy!  Just kidding ... you are never too old to be a Clutch fan!  I even helped Mommy recently win two prizes from Clutch's Facebook Fan Page this last week or so.  We won Clutch beads (for our photo caption) ...and I even won Rockets tix (Mommy took JCranc.. she needed a night away!  TW!) (for our photo with a caption).

Mad Max with the Clutch Beads

Here is the photo that won us Rockets tix (see Clutch's Facebook page for our winning caption!).  See me in my comfy house!?

Now below is a photo from tonight ... my new and improved house!  Just kidding.  Look at me in my Super Sling.  Mommy, I think we need a Houston Rockets RED sling.  Here we are below waiting for Clutch Bear (plus other Mascot friends) to come out so we can take photos with them.  Or maybe everyone standing in line is waiting to meet me.  Highly possible.  Mad Max in the hiz-ouse!

Mommy really misses her fav (former) Rockets player Shane Battier, but maybe our new favorite player can be Patrick Patterson!  Here I am above comparing my Super Infant feet to Patrick Patterson's feet.  What do you think, fans?  Almost there?  I also am wearing my Converse shoes for the first time (thank you Auntie Tam and "Auntie" Tiff ... I have two sets of shoes!).  I would have worn my Rockets onesy, but I already grew out of it (I am a Super Infant).

See there is P Pat above.

Anxiously waiting to meet Clutch Bear ... or is it the other way around?  He's anxious to meet Mad Max!

What do yah think?  I think Blake Griffin better watch out.

Mad Max and Clutch!  Look at Daddy lurking with his arm ... safety Daddy!

Hey Dad, umm ... okay you can get me now.  I think Train Wreck Mommy got the photo.

Clutch and Mini-Clutch

Getting autographs from Rocky and Slamson.

And then Boomer and Coyote.

Wow.  Crazy Ramona eyes!

I'm mesmerized by the starting lineup.  Or am I working on a good poo poo?

Clutch and his friends entertained us with some great dunks!

And then there was a dance off between Rockets Power Dancers and the mascots.  Need I say more?

Great game!  The Rockets of course defeated the Utah Jazz.  Thanks for taking me Daddy!  It was nice to meet you Clutch.  I can't wait until Mommy and Daddy schedule you for one of my future birthday parties.

Here is some swag we got from the game tonight.  We got a Clutch Bear lunch box (perfect for my "lunches" I'm taking to Gma A's!) ... and Daddy bought me a new (Clutch Bear!) onesy since I grew out of my old one.  Thanks Daddy!
