Weekend Update: My First Run And More

Hello Fans ... We've been the Train Wreck Family lately!  Mommy has been under the weather (of course!  She is back at school!) ... I had a nasty fever this week (turns out, a viral infection), and now My Hero "I don't get sick" Daddy is fighting a cold.

With that said ... Mommy and I are still working on my remaining 1st Birthday posts - stay tuned!  It's taking a while because of the amount of photos (and Mommy is slow).

In the meantime, it was quicker for me to put together the Weekend Update posts.  My first Houston Rockets Fun Run!  Okay, okay, Mommy and I did the walk with "Auntie" Alicen (and Daddy did the 5k), but still, I think it counts.  I beat Mommy!

And it begins!

Here I am surrounded by my girlfriends... aka the Rockets Power Dancers.  Am I already leaning towards blondes?  Maybe.  Maybe not.

Train Wreck Mommy and I made it to the court!  (As did Alicen ... she is taking our photo).

What did I do after my F1RST big race?  This!  The rest of my weekend is pretty much a blur ... hung out at home, some errands here and there ... and I went on a long walk to the Heights on Sunday.

The Train Wrecks and I also did our weekly Sunday Whole Foods trip.  I picked up some peanut butter (my latest fav), and I wore my Owl(ie) hat from "Auntie" Alicen.  Daddy said I look like a girl, but either way ... do you know how many women stopped to gawk at me!  A few more than usual!

I wore it to SongPlay music class too.

OH ... in all the race hoopla, I almost forgot to mention ...

I stood up for the F1RST time without holding on to anything (and I clapped for myself).  Train Wreck Mommy was a little too slow in catching a pic or video *yet*.

I Love My Auntie Tam!

Mad Max has been away from the blog lately ... sorry about that!  I had a very busy weekend.  My Auntie Tam and Uncle Michael came to visit me this past weekend.  Then on Sunday it was Gpa J (Grandpi's) Birthday.  Then last night Mommy went out with her friends to Little Bigs and Liberty Station without me, and she wouldn't let me blog.  Mommy, you know Liberty Station is my spot!

First, Auntie Tam and Uncle Michael's visit ... here is our reaction when we saw each other (me ... and then Auntie Tam):

We did all kinds of fun stuff with each other all weekend.  Here we are at Gma A's (Gramby's) playing at my Gym:

I just started eating "big people food"... although it's bright orange and mushy, so I don't know what kind of big people eat this.  Despite my face, I love all of the homemade food my Daddy makes me!  You try it first, okay, Auntie Tam?

On Friday we went with Train Wreck Mommy and Gramby to eat at Barcenas Mexican Restaurant and we went to paint pottery at The Painted Potter.  I had to show Auntie Tam the ropes since I'm a pottery painting regular.  I'd show you our masterpieces, but that would spoil some surprises!  We also went to Carter's, and Auntie Tam picked me up all kinds of new stylish digs.  Thanks, Auntie Tam!

Auntie Tam also danced up a storm for me.  Boy was that a sight to see ... 

We celebrated her Bday a few weeks late with a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake.

I spoiled Auntie Tam with the Savvy Auntie Book, a Birthday Plate I made from The Mad Potter, and Mommy got her a Philosophy set.

My Fans, My People ...

On Saturday I had some very special visitors in town all the way from the North Pole (or OK / Denton, TX).

Daddy's Uncle Bill and Aunt Maria came down along with their family friends - Melvin and Vicki.  They came complete with diapers and diapers wipes (and flowers for TW Mommy), so they were let in the door (thank you!).  Mad Max goes through diapers like Charlie Sheen goes through ... well, that guy is a train wreck.

My Buddy Ben

On Saturday my buddy Ben came to visit ... he's the first baby that I've seen since the ol' Hospital days.

We already had something in common:

I'm a Super Infant, but man this guy is BIG ... but he is about 6 months older than me.  Don't you fear fans, I will catch up! 

I'm in what Train Wreck Mommy calls my "food coma..."  (I take after my Mommy).  I'm not sure what Ben's deal is ...

Ben's parents are Daddy's friends from college ... Tony and Ann.  Here we all are together.  Activity Time!

My Fan Base Grows

I may need to hire a Super Full Time Assistant to help Mommy with my Fan Base and schedule!

Gma A's friend Suzanne came to visit me at the end of last week.  Thank you for coming!

Mommy's friend Viola also came to visit at the end of last week.  I've been eagerly awaiting "Auntie" Viola's arrival.  She made me a blanket!!  She also made me wonder ... "Auntie" Jessicana, where is that Monkey I've heard rumors about?  I love you, "Auntie" Jessicana!... haha, but back to my blanket, didn't Viola do such a great job?  And it matches my room perfectly.  I'll have to take a pic of it in my room sometime.

"Auntie" Alicen came to see me on Sunday, and she brought us soup!  Yay for not eating toast for the 10th time in a row.  It was super yummy, thank you "Auntie" Alicen.  We also watched some Playoff Football (well, fell asleep... it was quite boring, wasn't it?... not much of a game.  Hopefully the Texans will be in it next year.)  I (most appropriately) wore one of my many sports outfits.

Daddy's friend Mick also came to visit on Sunday.  "Uncle" Mick was afraid to hold me!  Hah, he must have heard I am a Super Infant with super powers.  Do.  Not.  Be.  Intimated.  But, it is probably better that he didn't pick me up.  If he dropped me, I would have fallen like 10.5 billion feet to the floor.  Look at this guy!

I can't wait to see what loving fans come next.  Maybe I should start autographing my dirty diapers.

Fan Club at the Hospital

Mad Max lovesssss visitors!  I really loved my hospital visitors and any extra special attention I got during my stay.  You know, being born isn't an easy task ... right, Mommy?

Here is the sign on my hospital room door...all of my visitors got to sign it!

"Auntie" Alicen was my first non-Family Member visitor.  Thanks for coming, and thanks for the Sprinkles cupcakes, Alicen!  Cupcakes are always welcome, says Mommy.

My hospital stay wouldn't have been the same without a visit from "Auntie" Jessicana.  Thanks for the flowers, Auntie J!

I also had a lot of train wreck visitors from my school, YES Prep SE.  This is me with JCranc.  How are you holding up w/o me "Auntie" JCranc?  Thanks for bringing me a flower.  Mommy and I are enjoying it in her room now.

And of course a big thank you to my #1 visitors - both sets of Grandparents!  They came to see me almost everyday I think.  They also helped Train Wreck Mommy and Lacking Sleep Daddy.
