Tuesday's Tots and Wee Ones: Rain, Rain ...

Hi Family, Friends, and Fans,

How is your week so far?

We are happy to report that we are enjoying Spring Break even if it started off really rainy.  It was pouring on our way home from work on Friday, and the freeway (I-45 North) was completely shut down!  No cars!  (President Obama was in town.  I was (of course) hosting him for dinner later that night.  How do you like peanut butter, President Obama?  And soy milk?  Yum!).

Here I am above with crazy hair after our Friday evening rain storm.  I know.  Crazy.  And I may need a hair cut soon, no?

So Mommy and I thought we would bring you some tips for those Rainy Spring days with your Wee Ones and Tots ...

The only bummer is Hatley doesn't have a matching umbrella (at this time) for the super cool Whale(y) raincoat and rainboots.  I'm a big fan of Whales.  1) My Hero Daddy is a scuba diver (as am I ... in the bathtub).  2) I'm a big fan of Whales myself!  I use to have a Whale(y) tub, and I have Whale bath toys.

Now I definitely think gals could also enjoy the whales above, but if not... I would pick this one for a Super Girl Toddler:

Don't worry ... your Wee Ones won't be left out.  They have weather gear for them too!

Rainy Days Inside: What if the weather is so bad that you just need to stay inside?  (Or maybe you want to stay inside!) ... What are some great ways to stay inside with Wee Ones and Tots?  If they are under age 2, they are probably too young to snuggle up with and have some stormy movie time ... (if they are older, isn't that always a favorite option!) ...

Wee Ones AND Tots would enjoy some extended music toy or / or story time.  Mommy and I love to turn on Pandora and sing or have dance parties.  I recently started to really like dancing to music.  Mommy said I dance like Dada.  I'm not sure exactly what she means by that.

Story Time ... how about taking a different approach and set up all of your "animal friends."  Have story time with everyone in the house!

What is your rainy style?  How do you spend your rainy days?

-Mad Max

Jeanne, thanks for stopping by and commenting! Sorry for the delayed reply. We are catching up from our trip (and had some Internet issues so a day or so behind on the blogs). The cake ones are adorable. I want a pair for myself! Haha (or at least a piece of cake).
