next stop: KBR Kids Day

Hi Friends,

How are you today?

What is your next stop this weekend?  We hope to make it to Dewberry Farm since we were unable to make it last weekend because of the weather.  I seemed to have come down with a stuffy nose Monday night so cross your fingers that it doesn't get worse!

But what we are also really looking forward to is our next stop (last stop) as a family of three (Daddy, Mommy, and Me - Mad Max).  Do you remember your last outing as a family of three (if you added a fourth or more!?).

Mommy is planning on taking us to the KBR Kids Day on Buffalo Bayou on Saturday, October 20th (as long as she is feeling okay / Sadie doesn't come early!).  If you live in Houston, this is a must stop this Fall with kiddos!  If you live outside of Houston, what events must you go to this Fall?

KBR Kids Day on Buffalo Bayou (More from the Buffalo Bayou Partnership):

Hands-on activities, kayak demos, park performers,
Halloween Costume Parade, Art Cars on display and much more!

Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership and KBR for the 6th year anniversary of KBR Kids Day on Buffalo Bayou.  A day filled with FREE family fun, hands-on educational activities, music, food, park performers, and so much more!

Activity stations will include numerous hands-on activities from over 30 Houston non-profit organizations partners, rock climbing wall, kayak and skateboarding demonstrations, Art Cars on display, local entertainment, face painters and balloon artists.

Additionally, there will be a Halloween Costume Parade, led by Whole Foods Market so come dressed in your favorite costume!

We will be collecting submissions for our first ever Kids Day Coloring Contest. Deadline is October 1. Kindergarteners through fifth graders can send us a picture of what you like to do on Buffalo Bayoufor a chance to win cool prizes and have their artwork displayed. So, have your children enter our drawing contest and get ready for KBR Kids Day!
