Sadie here! How was your week?
We have two exciting things to share with you this Friday. First, I'm going to share my (Sadie's) One Week Update (I was one week ALREADY on Monday!), and then I'm going to share some of our favorite photos from my maternity photo session. Enjoy!
Two of our favorite blogs (Schue Love and Strawberry Swing and Other Things) have awesome Weekly Updates on their little ones, so we are stealing their wonderful idea (and they have great photos too! Mommy said she is going to work on her photo and Photoshop skills).

Weight: I weighed 6 lbs 7 oz at birth and left the hospital less than 6 lbs so hopefully after a week I gained some back!
Height: I'm guessing about the same as birth (19 3/4").

Sleep: What do you mean by, awake? I sleep a lot during the day (I'm only a week old!). My Mommy does EASY - Eat, Activity, Sleep, Y (You Time aka Mommy Time) ... but mostly really I eat and sleep. I am also a pretty good sleeper at night. Two nights ago I even slept through the whole night in my own bed (except when eating). Sometimes Mommy has to hold me though (I'm too young to sleep train).
Diet: Mommy's milk. I like to eat a lot because I'm a tiny "June Bug." I eat anywhere from 2 hours to 3 hours.

Clothes: I'm tiny! I hardly fit in my newborn clothes. I'm swimming in most of them. Some of the Carter's clothes fit properly though.
Baby Gear Love: I'm not really into baby toys or other gear yet. I do like when people read to me (books!), and I love blankets because I love staying warm. Don't you like my blanket from my photos in this blog? It's from Pottery Barn Kids.
Crying: I mostly cry when I'm hungry or when I'm getting changed. I also am not a big fan of transitioning to new things, but I settle down quickly (and this is the same thing my photographer said!). I also don't like being cold. Good thing we live in Texas.
Likes: Sleeping. Eating. Hugs from Big Brother Max.
Postpartum: From Mommy ... I'm still looking pregnant, but I can (am not allowed) to lift Max let alone exercise! And at least I can't / don't really leave the house. Other than that... still on pain meds, but I can probably give those up soon.
Milestones: Considering that EVERYTHING is new it seems like everything is a milestone in the first week. I had my first bath (just a sponge bath) on my first night home. Boy, do I hate my baths. I had my first visitors at home on Saturday (Gramby and Pops). I had my first outing to take my family / newborn photos with Erin Carlyle Photography on Halloween. I celebrated my first holiday - Halloween! I slept in my own bed ALL night for the first time two nights ago. I spent some time outside for the first time yesterday afternoon to watch my brother play ball. My bro held me for the first time this morning (he's getting over a sickness).
Sadie's Maternity Photos
If you are Mommy's friend on Facebook (personal page) you may have already seen these ... if not, please enjoy a few of our favorite photos from Mommy's Maternity Photo Session! We love taking photos with Erin Carlyle Photography. We highly recommend her if you live in or around Houston! Thanks again Erin for our wonderful photos.
And we were styled by, Mommy! Mommy's sweater was from Motherhood Maternity and jeans from Pea in the Pod. Daddy's outfit was from Target and Gap. And brother's entire outfit (including the shoes!) were from Gap.
What do you think?
